Where to Hang Your Ornaments?
A good friend of mine just surprised me with a photo of the wooden tree she and her husband created for the Jesse Tree ornaments, and it's beautiful! With forty nails for each of the forty ornaments, her family will count down each day of the Nativity Fast by hanging the day's ornament in place -- until finally the tree is filled and Christmas has arrived! This tree is a great DIY project -- but for those of you who are not the crafty types, I have some very good news: they'll build one for you too! Go see the Z Mom on Facebook, and tell her if you'd like one. They're willing to build more! They are perfectly sized for the Welcoming the Christ Child ornament set!If you don't have the book and ornament set yet, they're both still available on the Sebastian Press and Ancient Faith websites. So if you're not up for building your own Jesse Tree, we've got you covered. But there's still room for creativity -- in fact, the Z Mom was just saying that you could tie the ribbons on like bows and it might be even cuter... You could paint it, or add other ribbons or decorations... or you could just hang it on your wall and congratulate yourself on another thing checked off your list.I know how it is. I have a long list too!May God bless your Nativity Fast, no matter how you mark it!
