New Podcast!

I have a new podcast on Ancient Faith Radio, and I’m pretty excited about it.

I’ve done a lot of writing and talking about youth ministry, but especially these days, when the world seems dark and people are so divided, I feel like we are all needing the same things we used to say the kids needed. We need connection. We need to feel connected to God and to the Church and to one another.

St. Porphyrios says that when we are in darkness, we shouldn’t try to fight the darkness. Christ has already defeated the darkness. Just open a window and let the light shine in, and the darkness flees. Turn to Christ. Keep your eyes on Him.

I think the daily noise, the hustle and bustle of our lives, is not the enemy of the spiritual — it’s the fertile ground where we dig in and find God present with us every day.

The Kingdom of Heaven is everywhere around us, but we must develop eyes to see it. I’m hoping you’ll take this journey with me, making our way together through these modern days, and helping one another to let Christ’s light stream in, to shine through all of His creation.
